Take Heed and Take Watch
It’s here! It’s here! Finally, The Executioners Three is officially in stores.
And finally, all you devoted Wattpad readers can see what happens to Freddie, Divya, Theo, and the gang.
Many of you read as I posted back in 2018—and I’m so grateful to you all, who cheered and commented and spread the word.
Even though I started the book in 2011, the story finally “clicked” for me in 2018. I was in the midst of starting IVF; my hormones were everywhere with egg retrieval; and I desperately wanted something fun to throw myself into.
But of course, as all of you know who were reading “live” back then, I had a miscarriage. It was devastating, as these things are, and I stepped away from The Executioners Three.
For a long time, too! I had to throw myself back into the Witchlands next, and because my publisher didn’t feel TE3 was a strong follow-up to the Witchlands (which I totally understand!), I threw myself into the The Luminaries as well.
But now! Finally, the time is right for Freddie’s story to hit shelves.
For Executioners Three
I have no big expectations for this book. It’s not splashy, it’s not a “hot” genre, and it’s so full of 90s vibes and jokes with such a Strong-Voiced Heroine Indeed…
I have no idea what people are going to think.
But I know what I hope for this book.
I hope the Halloween vibes and fall wind make you crave pumpkin spice lattes and a sweater.
I hope you laugh at Freddie’s Very Confident Personality Indeed—and all the 90s references too (doodle-doo-doo, doodle-doo-doo, doodle-doo-doo-doooo).
I hope you will grin (and maybe swoon) at her interactions with a certain boy from another school.
I hope you will shiver at the creepy things lurking in the forest near the Village Historique.
Above all, I hope you have fun.
This book has been my “fall book” for so long. I would always open the manuscript during fall and work a few weeks each year, when the leaves were turning and the wind was biting.
This will be my first fall without it, in fact!
But don’t worry: I’ve already “replaced” it with the Murder Quartet. The fourth book in that “series”1 is set in fall, so I’ve got plans to dive into that as soon as the leaves start turning again and the wind starts biting. 😉

I put “series” in quotes because it’s actually four standalone all happening in the same alternate 90s world with supernatural stuff and muderrrrrr. And oh yeah, more romance.
