For the how often poll Q - I love your emails and enjoy getting them weekly (when it’s possible for you) but also do not mind if you want to do biweekly or even monthly if that fits better with your current lifestyle/creative process. They are always quality and interesting to read.
Hoping for a swift recovery for Junebug! Doggos just don't understand when we don't want them to romp around.
I haven't made it to Witchlight yet. I'm trying to re-read the series first but this year has been one giant reading slump (at least until I hit those spooky reads in September). Hopefully soon though!
When it comes to the polls, I definitely *always* read the things you send, just maybe not *when* you send them. If it's a busy week for me, I might end up reading two or three of them on the same day when I get a spare moment but I love "catching up" with you via the emails!
I will always accept more newsletters and more content! But I also don't want to keep chanting "more", so whatever amount feels right to you feels right to me! :)
I love reading your newsletter, and have been since they began many moons ago, so thank you! I especially love reading about your processes, not just writing relating, but how you’re filling the creative well, managing your time, all the how-to content and why it works for you (and sometimes how it doesn’t!). It doesn’t always apply but I just find people’s processes and the reasons why it works for them so fascinating, for all art forms.
Since I picked other on the amount of content…I think it would be cool to have a bit more flexibility and clarity in which posts we get emails for. I know you can toggle the emails on and off for different sections of the newsletter, but it’s not necessarily clear what area a type of post belongs to or what else is in that category. For example, I’m a Witchlands fan but not someone who wanted to read early access chapters, so I definitely ended up kinda ignoring the newsletter emails in my inbox because a lot of them were for early access chapters and I couldn’t figure out how to not get notified for those posts without turning off Witchlands notifications altogether.
Not sure if there’s a way to do a guide or a subheader on the posts or something, but it would be nice to have that additional flexibility and clarity so that the emails I get (in whatever volume 🙂) are for the content I am interested in.
Hmmmm. I am not sure how to resolve this other than to accept some people won’t open everything (which I do expect!). Substack technically lets you make sub newsletters, but I found it absurdly complicated as a reader on other substacks who used this (and then I also had a few readers complain on mine when I first tried it), so I stopped after only a few emails.
I can poke around and see if that’s any friendlier for users now. Otherwise, I fear it’ll just have to be you ignore what you don’t want and hit delete! That’s fine by me! I totally understand.
My other is probably every other newsletter simply because life. If i had more time and a more organised head I'd be reading them all. And sometimes I get behind and then catch up in a big binge

Agreed!
Okay Leopold tease....I see you!! 🤣 Haha
