If you like Witchlands you may also like: Daindreths Assassin by Elizabeth Wheatly, A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet, Namesake by Kate Stradling, and Death mark by Kate Stradling.
...then The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch has ALL THREE and will absolutely blow your mind (I read it three times in one year because I had to know how it worked).
I think readers that like the Witchlands would like Heaven Official’s Blessing! The characters are all so well done in a very similar way to the characters in the Witchlands, so well rounded and emotionally complex, lots of smart, witty humor. The story is so expansive and full, with everything having meaning even if it isn’t revealed right away. Also, THE SLOW BURN. It’s giving Iseult/Aeduan in the absolute best way!
If you love the Witchlands, you’ll love His Dark Materials, both the show and books! And if you love the Luminaries, I recommend the Deadly Scholomance trilogy :)
OMG the Scholomance. Contemporary magic school but they're literally trying not to get eaten by monsters. Dark witch/golden boy. This whole trilogy is amazing (starts with A Deadly Education) and it's the only book that everyone I've recommended it to has liked.
For the Witchlands, it’s impossible not to second Dragon Age—I picked up Truthwitch when I was in the thick of my love for DA:Inquisition and it was the only book that truly perfectly scratched that itch for a rich, immersive, politically complicated, environmentally gorgeous world with unique, complex characters I immediately adored!
I’d also recommend Robin Hobb’s “Liveship Traders” series (seafaring! sea serpents! fantastic characters!), Sherwood Smith’s “Crown Duel” (thrilling political court intrigue! amazing female characters!), and Garth Nix’s “Abhorsen” books (especially if you love the magic system and mythic elements in the Witchlands—and loved (like I do!—the vibes of Sightwitch!)
For the Something Strange and Deadly series, I’d rec Libba Bray’s “The Diviners” (delightful crew of characters, pitch-perfect supernatural and historical elements like SS&D). I also love Ss&D because it reminds me so much of some of my favorite films—“Atlantis: The Lost Empire,” “Sherlock Holmes,” and “The Mummy” (adventure! history! just the right amount of scares and action! swoony fun bantery romance! found family crews of nerdy oddballs!). Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate too if you’re looking for a video game!
LOVE THOSE BOOKS!! Hobb, Sherwood Smith, and Nix are all huge influences for me. (Have you ever read Sherwood Smith’s India series?? Oh boy. Talk about dense fantasy. I love it!)
For Witchlands fans looking for cyberpunk - Requiem Dark duology (and novella) by Claire Winn and MindWalker and MindBreaker by Kate Dylan (not series but set in same world)! FMCs, great cast of characters with different backgrounds coming together, witty banter, great overall stories.
If you like the Something Strange & Deadly trilogy (you have good taste if you do) I think you'll also like Libba Bray's Diviners quartet, Empire of Shadows by Jaquelyn Benson, and Jackaby by William Ritter!!
If you like the Witchlands series and Something Strange and Deadly you'll definitely love the Bone Witch series by Rin Chupeco!!! Highly recommend it!!
If you like The Luminaries but want way more angst and trauma, run, don't walk to pick up ONLY A MONSTER by Vanessa Len. Monster vs monster-slayer! Actually plot-related fated love! A really traumatic chapter 5! A fantastic sequel (that ends on a cliffhanger and the third book isn't out yet), but this first book has a great Episode IV-like wrap-up with potential.
If you’re an RPG fan, I can recommend Luke Chmilenko’s Ascend Online series. If you like following teen stories, I recommend the Iron Prince series!
FYI: The Iron Prince series is by Luke Chmilenko and Bruce O’Connor
If you like Witchlands you may also like: Daindreths Assassin by Elizabeth Wheatly, A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet, Namesake by Kate Stradling, and Death mark by Kate Stradling.
A Promise of Fire was really good! Thank you for reminding me to finish that series.
If you like:

If your a Witchlands fan you will love The Sparrows Who Dream
Oooh! That’s a new one for me! I’ll write it down!

Omgosh, I keep getting recommended that!! Okay, time to add to the stack…
For fans of the incredible world building in the Witchlands series: check out Mask of Mirrors by MA Carrick and Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto!
Oh yes!! Love Nicki’s books! The other is new to me, but I’ll add it to my stack!
