Thank you for continuing with this series and carrying it through to the end. I can't wait to read the finale! (Which is unfortunate, because it's been sitting in my weekend bag for a week and I'm still not allowed to touch it until Friday evening) ๐
You're so inspirational. Following your journey with this series has taught me to just keep writing. Life gets hard, and some days the words aren't there, but they'll be there later. No matter what, the words will still be there later. I'm drafting right now, realizing I need to go back to the beginning and make big changes, and it may be scary, but I think about how Windwitch is one of my favorite books and how you faced every challenge with this series along the way and wrote something incredible. I've learned so much from you and this series, and I'll forever be appreciative of that. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this journey <3
Congratulations on Witchlight! Holy crap, thatโs an awesome milestone.
As a 911 dispatcher and writer, I can say the compartmentalization might work for the former (sometimes), but it definitely doesnโt for the latter. The former is built around habits cultivated through training so you can go on autopilot and get things done quickly (Iโve been more emotionally impacted by some calls Iโve taken when listening to them days later, because Iโm not in the act of doing the tasks I need to get done). Iโve never found writing works like that, because itโs all about digging into emotion and contemplation to give the story authenticity. I once abandoned a manuscript Iโd started (and was technically working) for just that reason and never looked back.
I love this series so incredibly much and I am so so grateful that I found it and you. And while I wish the road has been smoother. I wouldnโt change the books or how we got them at all. Your brain continues to amazing me!!!
Happy release day!! That was so interesting, as always, and relatable as well (not that I've ever carried out as massive an undertaking as this!). I think I need to read this series! (I guess that's the only upside of "taking so long"; you also find new people who didn't use to know you or read that kind of thing 10 years ago.)
As a high Futuristic and Context, I cannot help but look at the past and the future at the same time and the present never exists ๐ I appreciate your BTS, as always!
Itโs been an incredible journey for this series. Canโt wait to start Witchlight! And thank you for answering my question! ๐
I haven't read Witchlight yet but I hope it helps to know that Sightwitch has so far been my favorite!
In terms of thinking we can't let life get in the way, if we have to let publishers get in the way then we ought to be allowed to let life do it. ;)

Appreciate this transparency! Thanks for sharing the highs and lows.
