In today’s age, pre-order campaigns are rare. The return on investment for publishers just isn’t what it used to be.
But I felt it was important for the final Witchlands book to have a pre-order gift, just as the previous installments in the series have had!
So behold: I am running my own campaign to say thank you to my longtime readers for supporting me, Safi, Iseult, and the entire gang. I know it’s been a long wait for this final book, but I promise your patience will have been worth it!
I am so proud of Witchlight.
And I am SO excited to share the pre-order goodies I’ve got coming for you. Which—gasp!—includes international readers!
In fact, not only do international pre-orders of Witchlight qualify for these Witchlander Winnings, but so does any edition of the book so long as it’s in English1. E-book, audio, hardcover, international paperback—I don’t care! A pre-order is a pre-order, and it will qualify you for the items below.
A Fan-Driven Short Story
So first off, what do you get for pre-ordering any edition in English? A short story set in the Witchlands!
BUT, lest you think that’s not interesting enough, to make this campaign different and fun—and to get back to my #ChooseWithSooz roots of letting READER decide how a story will go2—you, the readers, will get to vote on what exactly I write!
What characters will be in it? When and where will it take place? What kind of story will it be?
Maybe you want more romantic moments between your favorite ship. Maybe you want a silly scene where everyone is just sitting in Mathew’s coffee shop playing cards. YOU decide!
When you submit your receipt, you’ll get to vote on exactly those things. Mix and match to create the story YOU want! Then keep track of what other people are voting on the main pre-order page.
And if you pre-order more than one copy or edition in English? Well, guess what: you get more votes. Every receipt qualifies you for another vote. So if you’re someone who likes to get an ebook and an audiobook, then great! Go vote two times, my friend!

I’ll be updating the website each week as I get new pre-order numbers from my publisher. That way we can all track just how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.

A Few Extra Notes
The campaign will run until the 11:59:59 PM ET on November 3rd. So you’ve got between now and then to pre-order, submit your receipts, and help spread the word so more people vote4.
You must submit a receipt showing proof of purchase of an English-language Witchlight to qualify to vote and receive the Witchlander Winnings! I will be verifying receipts.
International pre-orders of theEnglish-language Witchlight qualify! 🎉

I will update the pre-order site as often as possible, but note: I only get pre-order numbers sent to me weekly. So tiers won’t be updated more than once/week.
