1. Nightmare illustration sneak peek!
As promised, I’ve got a sneak peek at one of the illustrations coming in the UK and Illumicrate editions of The Hunting Moon.1
Like the previous illustrations, this art was masterfully made by Kerby Rosanes to look like the many sketches and notes Winnie makes throughout the story—and this particular illustration is of the creature we also see on the cover.
A will-o’-wisp! These nightmares feature heavily in The Hunting Moon, and you can read their Compendium description below:
Like large hummingbirds, these nightmares are plumed all over in silvery flames instead of feathers. When the flames die out, will-o’- wisps are revealed to be nothing more than hollow skeletons. They hunt by drawing prey to their nest, where hundreds will attack at once with syringe-like beaks. Hunters should avoid any lights that flash with a rhythmic quality; some subspecies of will-o’-wisp can also use their flames to hypnotize.
I shall not share any more insights into these creatures than that—you’ll just have to read the book to see how they impact Winnie’s story. 😘

5. Tour reminder + tickets!
Unlike past tours, we have this year’s stops ticketed. No, it’s not to make your life harder. 😅 Instead, it’s so we can have a clear idea of how many people will be at each stop. In the past, people would RSVP and not show, so the stores always bought too much stock. (And I was always disappointed. 🥲)
The hope this year is that by buying a copy ahead of time (that’s all the “ticket” is!), then people will actually show. Happy stores, happy author! ☺️
