It's always a need to have the alternate covers of your books, because they're always so pretty! It's a bonus that there are bonuses and goodies that come with them 🙌🏼

"...exclusive Barnes & Noble edition of The Luminaries that includes an alternate cover with copper foiling, a unique case color and case stamp, plus exclusive endpapers."

What does that mean? Judging from the photos, "alternate cover" means different design on the dust jacket, right? What is a case ("unique case color and case stamp")? Is that the actual cover of the book, vs the dust jacket? And endpapers are the pretty paper design on the inside of a hardcover, right? Or does it mean like the afterward/acknowledgements/behind the scenes notes and whatnot at the end of a book? (I love extra/bonus content like this!)

Also, I appreciate how B&N showed the hardcover (case?) under the dust jacket of their special edition, but how does it differ from the standard hardcover? What does the normal hardcover look like under its dust jacket?

Sorry for all the questions! I preordered on Amazon back in January, and I'm wondering if it's worth switching to B&N for the aesthetics or not.
