Such a fun book, especially if you’ve ever read/watched anything like My Next Life As a Villainess, and wished the main character would Lean In a little toward the villain story instead 😈
I'm currently reading The Phoenix Keeper and absolutely loving it. I think with your history of marine biology you'd appreciate the conservation discussions in it.
My next book is Queen B by Juno Dawson - prequel to HMRC which is witchy and fun and dramatic. I would also recommend that series.

- Go Hex Yourself (A very fun romance about a woman who applies for a job ad, only to find out after she gets it that the position is "witch's familiar." Except she doesn't believe in magic... right?)
- Beetle and the Hollowbones (The cutest spooky graphic novel about a goblin and her friend, Blob Ghost).
