I very much love all the characters in this series, but I've a special place in my heart for my girl Iz. Her character speaks to me, seeing her character develop as the series progress is quite heartwarming!

Iz as I can relate to her character and her inner develpment the most.

Stasis and control of emotions were my mantras for years. I can feel her struggle when emotions want to break through, feeling pain in trying to fit into other people's concepts and suppressing own needs as a result.

Witnessing her growth, as she opens up to Aeduan and connects with herself, accepting that she is a feeling human being, is wonderful.

I didnt like Vivia that much in the beginninig but seeing her also questioning and processing her family past made me connect to her a lot as well.

I love my girls Safi and Lizl. Love a strong badass woman :)

I love them all dearly, esp Safi & Iz’s dynamic and Polly’s dramatics, but Vivia is solidly at the top. Part of it is the gayness, I was always going to be drawn to her, and I also was so impressed with the way we as readers flip flop on her between Truthwitch when we only have Merik’s perspective, and Windwitch when we get hers - it’s just 👌 aside from that, I love her and her arc, the way she feels so much pressure and a constant need to prove herself, while at the same time knowing she’s amazing, how much she cares and how terrified she is to show it (and to not show it enough) and then *that* moment in BW 🙌👌😍 I reread it so many times.

Definitely Aeduan. Something about his character and the whole concept of being seen as a monster for something you never asked for and can't change really hits close to home for me. Plus, he just checks a lot of boxes that I find really fascinating in characters (assassin/generally morally gray, some sort of disconnect from humanity, etc etc etc.)

I adore Safi and Iseult, and after Witchshadow Leopold has piqued my interest greatly… but I’m a Vivia and Vaness girlie to the core. They’ve never left me un-empressed!

Iseult has ALWAYS been my girl. I've always related to her and how she's a planner who needs to be in control or else all hell breaks loose.

Safi who cracks me up and keeps going with the flow until she can plan out the next step. Also love the banter with Leopold, gotta like a chaos agent who lives for the *drama* haha

Iseult, always Iseult. I relate so strongly to how she often can’t find anything to say in front of people she doesn’t know very well (something about ransacking her brain for a conversation topic in Truthwitch but getting nowhere). I’ve been there so many times. Plus, she gets frightened but she’s also clever and has awesome fighting skills. In short, she’s one of my favourite characters ever.

Aeduan, for sure. It's the story about his dog that got me. But I love the core four very much, one of the few books where I like every POV! :) Iseult and her relationship with her culture > Safi and her upbringing and attitude > Merik and his sheer vulnerability and honor >>>

I love Merick, he stole my heart in book one. And then I fell harder for him in Windwitch (so know that at least one reader appreciates all the hard work you did on his story!).

Iseult and Baeduan are my favourite characters, but I do identify so much with Safi.

Oh there are so many!! Of the main crew, I love Ryber, Vivia, and Baeduan, their story arcs are my favorite, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for the grumpy-but-loyal soldier types, so Caden is <3. I also can’t wait to see more of Lisbet and Cora, and how their dynamic with Aeduan turns out. (Also also, Iseult’s development has been *chef’s kiss* and I love her so much). I think the moral of the story is that Sooz has created too many amazing characters to ever just choose one.

Vivia! She's stubborn and determined. She feels out of her depths but keeps going. Her connection to her mother and rocky relationship with her brother and father feels real and relatable. I love the dynamic between her and Stix. Leopold is also SO interesting (and funny). And, of course, I love that the friendship between Safi and Iz is such a grounding core of the series. Evrane and Habim are both wise and awesome. And Aeduan. No explanation needed.

Mine is Aeduan! He’s sweet to Iseult, even when she gets on his nerves even though he initially hunted her and Safi.

I live Safi. She is so strong and hot headed. If I were to exist in the Witchlands universe, Safi would be a good person to know.

Iseult is my all time favorite, but a second close one is Polly. He's devious and charming and I'm such a sucker for those kind of clever characters.

Baeduan, for sure. But I also adore the relationship between Safi and Iseult--it's what drew me into the series to start with and I love how central it is to the story.

As of Witchshadow, it'd have to be Stix. I just couldn't tell at all where her story was going and felt so insanely charmed by every choice.

Iseult and Aeduan have been my favourites since I first read about them in Truthwitch. All of their interactions just hit me all in the feels, so all I can say is if they don’t get a happy ever after, I’m going to be DEVASTATED.

But also, Vaness and Vivia. LOVE those two powerful ladies.

I am a simple girl. I see a broody, emotionally unavailable man with a traumatic backstory to overcome, and I am SOLD.

Which is to say, Aeduan xD

But in all seriousness I love his arc and Bloodwitch chapter 55 lives rent free in my head <3 Seriously can't wait to see everyone again TvT

Iseult is the best character, safi is the most fun, and Leopold is the most interesting, although I think a lot of that has to do with the mystery of his character. All around though, safi is probably my favorite character. Reading her POV is always an adventure

Iseult is my very favorite from a group of characters that are excellent throughout. I adore, bizarrely, that her relationships aren't always easy, or pretty, or nice – but she works at them, even if it takes time. I love the love she has for Safi, that they have for each other, and the love she has for Aeduan. It's thrilling to me to see the journey she has gone on, the powers that make her feel both alienated as well as connected to people. I love how she explores both isolation as well as that connection, and how both feels so linked to her weaving. And I love, always, how hard she tries. It makes me feel more brave, too, even though she herself might not feel brave while she does it. But that, too, is, despite a world of fantasy, very real.

Safi! To the point when I thought my kitten was a girl I named him Safi because he was impulsive and chaotic! (Still is and still knows when we're lying about food!)
