Yesss, ADS&L is my favorite! I'm not ashamed to admit I have a favorite, lol. I don't have any other covers like the originals, so they always standout on my shelves 💙
Ok I’ll strike SS&D from my tbr list then 😂 and I also want to hear that story about how you made the Witchlands magic system more complex because it is one of the (many) things I love about the series! Such a fresh take on elemental magic
1) Haha, I will definitely share some of those original versions on here soon(ish)! I am such a better writer now, though. HA. I'm afraid at what I will find...
2) Yes! A few adult fantasy projects in the pipeline...It's honestly just a matter of which to do first!
3) HA! I appreciate the recommendations! Maybe you'll make the book go viral and Harper will just have to reprint it to keep up with demand. 😅
I got SS&D from the library AGES ago when I was first contemplating dipping my toes into steampunk. I'm so bummed the series didn't take off when it came out!! But at the same time, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that rights revert to you soon. I'd LOVE to read more in that world!
Welp...looks like I’m purchasing the SS&D series again! (Oh dear, what a pity, never mind 😉)
Haha 😂 Well, don't buy it now! I want to have as few sales as possible so those rights revert back to me...
So counterintuitive, right?!
It does make sense! I’ll have to hang on then 😄
If you love Adult Thrillers, you can give this piece a look... https://kallolpoetry.substack.com/p/he-consumed-me-everyday-so-i-devoured
I found SS&D on bookoutlet when I was looking for them in Canada!
Oh my goodness, what good luck!! I’m so happy you could get it!
Fingers crossed you get SS&D rights back to you! I would LOVE new SS&D covers (I still love the originals; I have those and the 2017 paperbacks!).
Ah, thank you, Asteria! The first covers were beautiful (I did love ADS&L especially). They were also just...misleading. Sigh.

You got it!! I'll be sure to answer that in a future post. Think you can add it to the AMA page so I don't forget? 😅 https://luminerds.substack.com/p/ask-me-anything/comments
1) I would sell a kidney to read that original adult fantasy draft of Truthwitch
2) ohmygod more adult high fantasy from you iamfreakingout
3) I keep recommending SS&D on TikTok and now I feel like I need to stop 😅😅😅
